Who we are

ProChat is an AI chat widget operated by ProChat that lets businesses answer visitor questions and capture leads on their websites. This policy explains what data the chat widget collects and how it's handled.

What data we collect

• Information you provide in chat — your name, email, phone number, and the contents of your conversation, if you choose to share them.
• Technical data — an anonymous visitor ID (stored in your browser), approximate location (city/country) derived from your IP, the pages you viewed, and referral/ad source.

How we use it

• To answer your questions and provide the chat service.
• To deliver your enquiry as a lead to the business whose website you're chatting on, so they can follow up with you.
• To improve the assistant's quality and the business's understanding of common questions.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share your conversations with anyone other than the business you contacted.

Cookies & storage

The widget stores a random anonymous ID in your browser (via cookie/local storage) so a returning conversation can be recognized. Where required, the widget asks for your consent before activating.

Data retention

Conversations and lead details are retained for as long as the business keeps its account active, or until deletion is requested. Anonymous analytics may be retained in aggregate.

Your rights

• Access & portability — you can request a copy of the data associated with you.
• Deletion — you can request that your conversation and contact data be deleted.
• Withdraw consent — you can decline the chat cookies at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact the business you chatted with, or email [email protected]. Businesses using ProChat can export or delete a visitor's data directly from their dashboard.
